The programme at a glance

Fifty hours, built in two equal halves.

Every weekly session runs for two hours and follows a learn → understand → practice → apply rhythm. Students never just hear about cybersecurity — they do it, in a safe lab.

Hour one

Theory & concept building

Simple explanations, real-world examples, trainer demonstration.

Hour two

Practical, hands-on learning

Controlled, ethical, age-appropriate activities in a safe lab environment.

How digital evidence is collected, preserved and analysed.

08

Security mindset

Curiosity, observation, problem-solving and responsible behaviour.

The learning journey · 25 sessions

Five modules. Twenty-five weeks. From everyday safety to thinking like a professional.

  • 01Introduction to CybersecurityHacker vs ethical hacker · first security check of a student's own device
  • 02Internet & Digital WorldHow information travels online · a first look inside a website
  • 03Passwords & Account SecurityBuilding strong passphrases · multi-factor authentication exercise
  • 04Phishing, Scams & Social EngineeringPhishing detective challenge: spotting fake messages and login pages
  • 05Privacy & Digital FootprintPrivacy settings audit · what a sample profile reveals

Every practical activity happens in an authorised, isolated lab. Students only ever test systems built for training — never real websites, networks or people. The lesson is how security works, and why permission matters.

How we teach

Every session follows the same five beats.

Concept, practical and challenge-based learning — so a student who has never opened a terminal leaves each week having actually done something.

01

Understand

Simple explanations and real-world examples.

02

Demonstrate

The trainer shows the technology or concept live.

03

Practice

Students perform the activity in a controlled environment.

04

Challenge

A small cybersecurity problem to solve.

05

Reflect

How this applies to real-world cybersecurity.

The practical lab

A flight simulator for cybersecurity.

Pilots learn in a simulator before they ever touch a real aircraft. Our students learn the same way: every activity happens inside controlled, authorised environments built purely for training. Nothing real is ever touched; nothing unauthorised is ever taught.

The objective is to teach students how cybersecurity works — never to encourage unauthorised access or misuse.

Students work with
  • Kali Linux
  • Windows
  • Virtual machines
  • Intentionally vulnerable apps
  • Cybersecurity training labs
  • Python
  • Network analysis tools
  • Web security tools
  • Digital forensic tools
  • Safe simulated datasets
Three safeguards
  • 01

Authorised targets onlySystems built for training, never live websites or networks.

  • 02

Isolated environmentsVirtual machines separated from the school network.

  • 03

Ethics in every modulePermission, scope and responsible disclosure taught throughout.

The final project · students choose a team

Red Team

Find the weaknesses

Authorised reconnaissance, identify vulnerabilities, document findings, suggest fixes.

Blue Team

Defend and detect

Analyse a simulated incident, spot suspicious activity, recommend defensive controls.

Purple Team

Both sides at once

Attack, detect, document and remediate — the full professional cycle.

Age-appropriate learning

One foundation, three levels of depth.

The same 25-session curriculum is delivered with complexity tuned to each age group — a Grade 6 student and a Grade 12 student both leave with a foundation that fits them.

Grades 6 – 8

Questions schools ask

The honest answers, before you ask.

No. The objective is not to turn every student into a hacker — it is to help students understand technology, security and responsibility. Every practical activity happens inside an authorised, isolated lab built purely for training. Students only ever test systems created for the classroom, never real websites, networks or people. Permission, scope and responsible disclosure are taught in every module.
